Bero Beyer is sinds mei 2015 de nieuwe directeur van het International Filmfestival Rotterdam (IFFR), een van de grootste publieksfestivals in de wereld. Eerder was hij filmconsulent voor het Nederlandse Filmfonds, waarbij hij zich richtte op arthouse films en internationale co-producties. Hij is daarnaast filmproducent van bekroonde films als ATLANTIC. (2014), PARADISE NOW (2005) en RANA’S WEDDING (2002).

Tussen 2010 en 2012 was Bero lid van de Filmcommissie van de Raad voor Cultuur, het externe adviesorgaan van de Nederlands regering op het gebied van kunst, cultuur en media. Hij is sinds 2005 lid van de European Film Academy. Hij studeerde aan de Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam.

Bero is also an independent film producer of award winning, acclaimed films such as Atlantic. (2014), Paradise Now (2005) and Rana's Wedding (2002). From 2010-2012 Bero was a member of the Film Commission of the Cultural Council, the Dutch Government's external advisory body on cultural affairs. He has been a member of the European Film Academy since 2005. Bero is a graduate of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
